Protein Rich SuperFoods

There are TONS of kinds of BEANS!

I'm talking about BEANS, and I don't mean jellybeans.  They're not just a substitute for meat.  They're packed with protein, fiber, antioxidants and are great for your waistline.  It's recommended to eat 3 cups a week of beans.  Beans digest slower than meats, making you feel full longer.  Bean eater typically eat almost 200 calories more a day and weight 7 lbs less and have slimmer waistlines than non-bean eaters. 

There are so many types of beans out there, here's what's on the top of the nutritional list; small red beans, red kidney beans, pinto beans, black beans, navy beans, and black-eyed peas.

They're pretty much the perfect food!  If you can add beans in your diet, please do.  I know I'll be eating more beans!  You can add them to almost any recipe, add them as a side, or blend them into a smoothie.  If you don't like one kind, there are many others to try!
